"Three Months Course on Care of Paintings"
(November 3, 2008 to February 2, 2009)

Introduction

National Museum is organising three-month intensive training course on "Care of Paintings". The course shall start from 3rd November 2008 to 2nd February 2009. The aim of training is to impart theoretical and practical training in the field of Conservation of all types of Paintings.

Candidates from Art Academies, Departments of Archaeology, Museums & Archives, allied institutions and practicing conservators from all over India shall be preferred. The basic qualification is graduate, preferably in science with one year experience in the field of art conservation. Ten candidates shall be selected on the basic of merit. Suitable scholarship shall be awarded to deserving candidates.

Employees of Government Institutions may draw T.A/D.A from their respective Institutions.

Application as per format below may be sent to the Director (Conservation), National Museum, Janpath, New Delhi-110011, marked on top of envelope "Training in Care of Paintings". In-service candidates must send their applications duly sponsored from their employer. Last date of application is 1st September 2008.
