Three Months training Course on
"
Care of Paintings including illustrated Manuscripts"
(15th November 2010 to 14th February 2011)

Introduction

National Museum is organizing three-month intensive training course on “Care of Paintings including illustrated Manuscripts”. The course shall start from 15th November 2010 to 14th February 2011. The aim of training is to impart theoretical and practical training in the field of Conservation of all types of Paintings and Manuscripts.

Candidates from Academies, Departments of Archaeology, Museums, Archives,

University, allied institutions and practicing conservators from all over India shall be preferred. The basic qualification is graduate, preferably in science with one year experience in the field of art conservation. Ten candidates shall be selected on the basis of merit. Suitable scholarship shall be awarded to deserving candidates.

Employees of Government Institutions may draw T.A/D.A from their respective Institutions.

Application as per format below may be sent to the Chemist, Conservation Laboratory, National Museum, Janpath, New Delhi-110 011 marked on top of envelope “Training in Care of Paintings”. In-service candidates must send their applications duly sponsored from their employer. Last date of application is thirty days from the date of publication.
